What we do

A capacity building, empowerment and technical support unit of Schweizer Agriculture Ltd
Small Technical Support Assistance Grants for Regenerative agriculture

Financial Literacy & Social Discipline

Beyond agriculture, Seed Foundation equips youth and women with essential skills in financial literacy, land management, and enterprise discipline. The training addresses key behavioral barriers such as theft, gambling, absenteeism, and substance abuse. By fostering teamwork, transparency, and personal accountability, the program builds a strong foundation for sustainable entrepreneurship and community leadership.

Skate Boarding & Sports for Youth Development

In both urban and rural areas, Rodrick is using sports—particularly skirt boarding—as a tool for youth transformation. These programs build discipline, self-worth, and critical thinking, helping steer young people away from destructive habits while promoting health, creativity, and purpose-driven lifestyles.

Livestock for Livelihoods – Tackling Youth Unemployment Through Goat Rearing

Seed Foundation is tackling youth unemployment by promoting livestock rearing among organized youth cooperatives. Groups of 20 members are trained in animal husbandry, record keeping, and value addition through the processing of goat skins into products like shoes, handbags, and wallets. With goats valued at $70–$100, up to 100 goats are distributed monthly, creating access to both local and global markets. This initiative fosters sustainable income generation and enterprise growth for rural youth.

Farming for the Future – Maize, Rice & Soybeans

Seed Foundation is empowering youth and women with hands-on training in crop production, focusing on high-value horticultural crops (chilies, tomatoes, cabbage), staple cereals like maize and rice, and legumes including soybeans, groundnuts, and sugar beans. This initiative promotes food security, boosts household nutrition, and supports grain trading as a pathway to agricultural entrepreneurship—especially in underserved rural communities.

Women in Seeds – Feeding Families, Securing Futures

Seed Foundation, in partnership with Schweizer Agriculture, Seedco, and the Zambia Agriculture Research Institute (ZARI), leads inclusive seed multiplication programs for women. These initiatives ensure access to affordable, climate-resilient maize, rice, and legume seeds, empowering women to grow nutritious food, feed their families, and enhance long-term food security and household resilience across Zambia.
